Abstract :
In this paper a new approach for time delay estimation of chirp signals is presented. It is based on an especial pre-transform and a cross-spectral SVD method. Even working in signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) environment as low as -5dB, the technique here can obtain chirp time delay estimation outcomes with high accuracy, high reliability and high resolution. Computer emulations have verified that it is superior to the cross correlation method apparently.
