Abstract
A simulation method on absorbing effectiveness (AE) has been presented in this paper. Double-layer AE formulas have been proposed for simulating calculation in Ku-band. Two wave absorbers composed of chloridized polyethylene (CPE)-based composites with nickel powders and ZnO whiskers were prepared and investigated in detail. Absorbing mechanisms on the double-layer with inducted layer and magnetic loss layer was discussed and evaluated by simulation and measurement. Experiments indicate that theoretical calculation on AE values conforms to measured AE values. By this simulation method, the optimization of wave absorbers can be realized
