Abstract :
This paper presents the study of two phenomena in magnetic field shielding, "flux shunting" when the ferromagnetic materials direct magnetic fluxes into themselves and "flux displacing", when the magnetic fluxes are shifted to the surface of the shielding materials. These two phenomena influence on the shielding effectiveness of shielding material. It can be stated that the flux shunting phenomenon dominates at lower frequency and flux displacing phenomenon at higher frequency
