Abstract
A new current-source compensated deadbeat controlled PWM inverter (CCDI) which produces a high-quality sinusoidal output voltage is presented. A scheme which combines deadbeat control and a current-source compensator for a PWM inverter is proposed and analyzed through computer simulation. The proposed CCDI controller uses a current-source compensator to eliminate the voltage drop at the firing instant of a phase-controlled resistive load. The controller is implemented using a TMS320C14 digital signal processor. Computer simulation and experimental results show that the proposed PWM inverter produces nearly sinusoidal voltage waveforms for nonlinear loads
