Abstract
This paper introduces an efficient technique to optimally design a dielectric resonator antenna (DRA). This technique is based on using the real coded genetic algorithm (RCGA). RCGA is used to get the desired resonant frequencies by finding the optimal configuration of the antenna. To show the efficiency of this technique, three different optimization cases are considered and simulated by using the electromagnetic simulation software CST STUDIO SUITE. To verify the results, one of the cases is fabricated and compared with the simulated one.
