Abstract
This paper describes method of interpolation of binaural responses. As moving sound images require numerous binaural impulse responses to be localized, interpolation methods are necessary. Two interpolation methods are investigated. One is linear interpolation in the real time domain the other is a method by using parametric representation in terms of envelope and instantaneous phase of the binaural response in the complex time domain. An algorithm simulating binaural signals at a listener´s ears are also described. The methods are estimated by means of spectrogram of binaural signals simulated by the algorithm. Results show that the method by using parametric representation interpolates binaural responses better than linear interpolation.
