Abstract :
This paper presents the design of practical geodesic dome phased array radars. The antenna consists of triangular planar sub-arrays arranged in a geodesic dome configuration. This design potentially reduces the size and cost of the antenna required for a given application. The practical aspects of the design from a radar systems viewpoint are examined.
