Abstract :
A non conventional method for the processing of signal is presented. The basic idea is derived from noting that an oversampled (delta sigma) flow represents a signal in two different fashions; an analogue representation since it keeps the signal information in its low frequency range and a digital representation since it is made of a 1 bit high speed bit stream. Simple manipulations of such digital streams will give rise to a suitable processing of their low frequency (analogue) contents. The paper shows how to get some basic functions: addition, subtraction and multiplication; moreover some examples of practical data processing are considered. Significant architectures and results of computer simulations are also presented
