Abstract :
Broadband ISDN networks and optical LANs are now being designed for operation at rates of 100Mb/s or more to carry video signals and high-speed data. These networks require optical links, clock recovery circuits, multiplexers, switches and protocol controllers . . . Panelists will consider the choice of the best technology for each component: high-speed silicon MOS technology, silicon bipolar technology or GaAs FET technology.
