Abstract
A novel 3D method of sheet beam (SB) gun design has recently been developed [1]. Second order ruled surfaces (SORS) to define the geometry of the gun electrodes. The gun design process is made simpler if SORS are derived from analytical formulas. A proposed method is discussed and illustrated.
