Abstract :
The rapid advancement of information and communication technologies (ICTs) has being shaping up a new value chain for tourism. Some travel organizers are getting less profit from the standard package tours because of the shift in the structure of tourism. If we take the mass customization into consideration with module package tours, the increasing number of independent travelers including backpackers might be new virgin territory for the tourism industry. This can also be a driving force for ICTs. Therefore, we propose a model as a guideline to develop mobile applications for tourism. With the bone incorporating the collective interactive genetic algorithm (C*IGA) with personalization and context-awareness, the umbrella of the model can be opened. Finally, some experiments are provided to explain the effect of our model with C*IGA on the individual travelers, travel organizers and the tourism industry. Rarely, have we had a so close a view of the earnings of the tourism sector and the satisfaction of travelers through the influence of technologies.
