Abstract
ProModel combines the flexibility of general-purpose simulation languages and the easy-to-use features of manufacturing simulators. The authors present ProModel´s design philosophy, describe its modeling elements, and illustrate these elements with an example. It is concluded that ProModel is designed for manufacturing companies to fully achieve the benefits of simulation technology at an affordable price, and is directed toward making simulation a standard tool in the hands of engineers, managers, and systems analysts
