Abstract
Revision work on the ISO 9000 series of standards started in London during the summer of 1991, but long before this 10th meeting of ISO TC 176/SC2 plans were made for this revision and approved by the members of the subcommittee for Quality Assurance systems. The three convenors of the original working groups that had drafted ISO 9000 to ISO 9004 formed an ad hoc group to report on whether the standards should be revised after the first 5 years of use and, if so, what form the revision should take. This paper details the auditing of the Phase 1 revisions
