Abstract
This method is based on histogram amendment contrast enhancing logarithmic mapping. It fulfils the requirement of mean Brightness preservation and enhances the contrast of the image. It tries to keep more naturalness of the image by avoiding the contrast exaggeration. This method performs polynomial logarithmic mapping using bi-section or Newton method for robust and fast convergence following the condition of mean brightness preservation of the image. It enhances the contrast of the image using parameter free automatic algorithm. Various illustrative examples are given which shows the efficacy of this method.
