Abstract
Binary image matching plays an important role in pattern recognition and image process. A variety of methods have been proposed that enable the efficient querying of binary image repositories for a desired binary image shape. In this paper, we consider the implications of anisotropy transform on the binary image shape matching. We describe the properties of anisotropy transform and show how this approach can be applied to improve the matching performance of many existing shape matching methods
