  • Abstract
    The high frequency characteristics have been researched on overmoded traveling-wave tube (TWT) at W-band. A new slow-wave structure (SWS) is presented. The high frequency parameters including dispersion, interaction impedance, and cold loss are calculated using the 3-D full wave simulation tool CST MWS. The new structure is working at the fourth mode with the frequency of 100.5 GHz. The cross-section dimension of the SWS is increased by thirty percent and it greatly reduces the difficulty of the manufacture and heat dissipation.
