  • Abstract
    In stand-alone photovoltaic power systems, batteries are subjected to very irregular charge-discharge patterns. Since battery voltage depends on battery current as well as on the state-of-charge, the actual battery state is difficult to determine. This paper describes a method for preventing overcharge or overdischarge by monitoring both battery current and voltage
