Abstract
In zero voltage switched multi resonant converters (ZVS MRC), the resonant circuits are widely employed in order to effectively reduce the switching losses. However, this method give rise to high voltage stress due to the resonance, which is a drawback to the practical applications. Previously, the clamp mode ZVS MRC has been proposed, based on the clamping technique, through which the voltage stress was reduced to be 2 or 3 times the input voltage of the converter. In this work, an on-board power module is developed including the design, control and hybridization with the use of the clamp mode forward ZVS MRC. This system enables one to achieve 81% efficiency for the power module with 50 W output and 2 MHz switching frequency
