Abstract
At two telephone offices in Japan, the authors are field testing a fuel cell energy system in which electric and heat energy is fed to the telecommunications equipment and air conditioning system. The test is expected to confirm the usefulness of the interface between the fuel cell energy system and telecommunications power feeding, air-conditioning system and demonstrate the reliability, maintenance and operation of the fuel cell system. This paper explains the background and the system configuration, and it presents the interim findings of the field test
