Abstract :
The author presents an historical overview of Project E3, aimed at the improvement of effective engineering education in the UK. He details how, while initial responses are good, university faculties believe that the development of best practice in engineering higher education is essential for the well being of the UK. Project E3 may only be the start of this development but a very necessary one
