Abstract :
In this work, making use of a Wannier function technique, we demonstrate the existence of a wide class of distortionless, moving or at rest, localized waves in a linear two-dimensional (2D) PCs showing slower than exponential decay and X-wave type (hyperbolic) characteristic behavior
