  • Abstract
Integrated action graphics and integrated performance views, two concepts for simplifying a user´s ability to evaluate a greater number of design options for large industrial facilities and for providing an enhanced understanding of the transient and steady state performance of power systems, are described. The traditional power system study, the traditional user-program interface, and the limitations of each are discussed. It is suggested that power engineers familiar with conventional system study techniques will readily adapt to the interactive-graphical method of analysis with minimum effort. Operating and plant engineers may find the technique invaluable in the study of system disturbances, for increasing operational efficiency, and for better preparing operators for critical emergencies. The advanced mathematical techniques used in this program make it an effective tool for the study of large power systems on a personal computer
