A Study on Semantic Grid Information Services Oriented Regional Library Consortia

Study on information service of regional library consortia has recently witnessed significant progress while still remains some open problems. Therefore there is an indisputable value in help the public acquire the information from libraries in an accurate, convenient and prompt method in general. The paper introduces the system architecture of information service provided by regional library consortia based on semantic grid and the discrepancy of information services provided by regional library consortia based on semantic grid and other technology. The study concludes that the application of semantic grid will make regional library information service more productive and effective to the public and can effectively solve the problem. The emergence of semantic grid provides a good prospect of application for regional library information service.
