Abstract

Describes the design and implementation of an industrial controller and an industrial local area network (LAN). The specific application comprises of all the basic elements that compose an industrial LAN. Special care has been taken in order to accomplish the sufficient and reliable exchange of data, in concatenation with the power of a microprocessor executing local preprocessings consisting of individual function blocks (tasks)
