Abstract
The problem of failure detection in dynamic systems described by nonlinear uncertain models is considered. An approach is addressed to solve this problem involving failure detection by monitoring the residual obtained from single-output reduced-order observer, A procedure is given to the observer design combining nonlinear transformation of the mathematical model of system with solving optimization problems
