Abstract
In order to solve the problem of NdFeB prices rising, a hybrid permanent magnet assisted synchronous reluctance motor for air-condition compressor was presented. Based on 2D finite element model, the influence of the major structure parameters include air gap length, saturation and permanent magnet thickness was analyzed. And the control strategy was also investigated on the basis of the motor torque characteristics. Finally, the corresponding experiment indicates that all analysis results based on the model are benefit to motor´s optimal design.
