Abstract
This study deals with active power filters and seeks to demonstrate that there are several possible control strategies in this field and to exhibit the differences between them. Moreover, the authors focused their attention on the problem of the stability of such a nonlinear system, especially when different loads are employed. Although they provide rough approximations, linear block diagrams were used to model the system and to explain its behaviour. As often as possible, experimental reports were compared to theoretical results
