eMisr — Egypt Broad Band plan: The regulatory challenges

Egypt is embarking on a new initiative to avail Broad Band Services to all its citizens within the next decade. Such an endeavor will require major changes in the regulatory framework to improve the telecom environment to enable the telecom industry to achieve the plan´s goals. The plan and its goals will be presented, the regulatory challenges will be discussed and proposed solutions suggested.
