Abstract
The large signal network analyzer (LSNA) digital controller has been revamped with a small embedded computer instead of the original heavy and expensive VXI rack. This computer takes care of all the measurement settings; it offers several interfaces to control the system (GPIB, RS232, LXI, front panel interface). FIFO buffers managed with interruptions allow full concurrent operation of each interface. The addition of a board with timers and counters provides the capability to measure the RF time domain slopes in pulsed mode.
