Abstract
The large central station PV system feeding power into the utility grid was the vision of the early pioneers in photovoltaics. It is still the “holy grail” sought by much of the PV industry. Here, the author describes, however, that there are two grid-connected markets which are much closer to being real market opportunities-embedded generation and distributed generation
