Abstract :
A new method for synthesis of mixed H2/H∞ controllers is presented in this paper. The problem is formulated as the minimization of a nominal H2 performance index subject to a H∞ robust stability constraint. The novel method based on two real-coded genetic algorithms (GA) with appropriate operators and a penalty function is proposed for the solution of the optimization problem. Simulation results are given to illustrate the new approach, and to show the validity of the proposed synthesis method
