Abstract :
Today´s seemingly limitless access to information in embedded systems has also brought forth a need to secure personal and corporate information from unauthorized access and to protect privacy. This need for secure data, which not only applies to securing wired and wireless communications, but is also important in applications where access control; data integrity, confidentiality, and authentication are required. Modern embedded systems generally do not have the resources necessary to carry out the amount of processing required for adequate security and it is a gap that will widen if current trends are left unchecked. For this reason, cryptography will find its way into a host of common devices, including bank ATMs, information portals, video surveillance equipment, building access controls, personal robots etc. The main theme of the paper encompasses on one of the most important issues regarding the design of encrypted coprocessor architecture that provides a high level of flexibility, security and speed of the system.
