Abstract :
A theoretical model to characterize the effect of the negative chirp introduced by a semiconductor optical amplifier booster, prior to a dispersive and nonlinear standard single-mode fiber transmission, is obtained. The theoretical expression gives the frequency transfer function of such a microwave optical link, showing a very good agreement with the experimental results.
