Abstract :
In this letter, the design of a wide-band circularly polarized microstrip antenna with gain of more than 8dB is introduced. This antenna is designed for the global positioning satellite operations at 1227 MHz(L2) and 1575 MHz(L1). It has an advantage of a much wider band in both VSWR and 3dB axial-ratio compared with single-feed GPS antennas. Details of design, simulated results of this GPS antenna are presented and discussed. The results confirm the validity of this design which meet the requirement of GPS application.
