  • Abstract
    Summary form only given. The requirement for the average power of high-repetition-rate femtosecond lasers has been one of the most important factor for these lasers used as pumping sources of THz-radiation from InAs in a magnetic field. Also, the average power is important for the various parametric wavelength conversions. However, the output average power of femtosecond mode-locked lasers has been limited to the 2-W level. In the presentation, we describe a high-repetition-rate, high-average-power, femtosecond Ti:sapphire laser realized by applying an intracavity continuous wave (CW) amplifier.
