Abstract :
CDL (Cross Docking Logistics), as an advanced logistic distribution strategy and a mode of operation, has the advantages of cross docking and features the distinct nature of information-based management model. As a result, CDL would bring its supply chain a high benefit on time, space and cost. This paper examines the CDL strategic application in food sale logistics based on cold-chain. The requirements and values for CDL application in food cold-chain are analyzed in detail. The bases for CDL new strategy design, together with a novel CDL process and model based on food cold-chain are also presented. Finally, benefits that can be expected with the implementation of CDL strategy are described.
