Abstract :
The maxim “what gets measured gets done” really does work - but to make it work effectively, one should measure right things, lest one may find wastage of one´s time doing activities that do not contribute to the organization´s performance. Often times organizations have to report their results following one standard/schema/criteria or/and the other. How do we meet the divergent requirements of aligning an organization subjecting it to the measurements of different business performance metrics and find out the alignment gaps, if any? Each new challenge is adding a newer set of parameters to be measured and reported by the organization for the purposes of compliance and/or such other statutory requirements.
