Abstract :
This paper describes a new software package which simulates the low frequency performance of an RCS compact range or tapered chamber. The package is called X-Window Large Chamber Analysis Tool (XLCAT) and is currently under development by Lockheed Advanced Development Company and Penn State University. XLCAT allows the user to simulate inside the computer a full-size 3D chamber, complete with absorber, feed, reflectors, target and supports. A time-domain visualization (video tape) of the propagation and diffraction of fields inside a large RCS anechoic chamber was shown.<>
