Abstract :
A 640-Gb/s optical signal has been successfully observed with a high temporal resolution optical sampling system comprised of sum-frequency light generated by a periodically poled lithium niobate crystal and wavelength-tunable soliton pulses generated by the soliton self-frequency shift effect.
