Abstract :
Summary form only given. Phase coherent division of optical frequencies by three using continuous wave optical parametric oscillators (cw-OPOs) is of interest for precision metrology spanning wide optical ranges. We believe we report on the first all-optical frequency-by-three divider OPO proving that its signal and idler frequency are phase-locked to exactly two-thirds and one-third of the pump laser frequency, respectively.
