Abstract :
With the development of High Voltage Directed Current (HVDC) transmission technology, the increasing numbers of HVDC projects and the appearance of HVAC/HVDC composite systems, the reliability of HVDC system has become a very important factor to the bulk power system. This paper provides the reliability evaluation model of the composite power systems with DC transmission lines, which includes the alternative iteration model for the flow calculation, and voltage adjusting model for the state adjustment after failure. Moreover, this paper proposes some methods to accelerate the reliability evaluation. The feasibility of the evaluation model, and the effectiveness of the accelerate methods are verified by the reliability evaluation results of IEEE-RTS 72.
