Abstract
A general lossy transformation technique (LTT) is proposed for solving the problem of synthesis of mixed lumped and distributed (MLD) lossy networks. The elements which compose the MLD lossy networks can have arbitrary frequency-dependent losses. A computer-aided design example is presented to show the application of the proposed LTT to the design of a monolithic microwave integrated broadband FET amplifier with MLD lossy circuits as matching networks.<>
