  • Abstract
Arc fault is a reason of causing common electrical fire in distribution system. Therefore, in order to effectively prevent the possible damages of arc fault, it must realize the fast and reliable detection and diagnosis of arc fault in distribution system, and then take effective measures to protect them. This paper puts forward an arc fault diagnosis method based on grid fractal theory, this method according to normal working current rate and arc fault current rate of different variation characteristics, Through comparing the relationship between adjacent current slope, judging current mutating or current waveform distortion point, which may Diagnosed with possible arc fault in lines.
