Abstract :
Nowadays the artificial intelligence based methods applied in power systems are getting more and more field. The paper is focusing on genetic algorithms used for optimal power flow computing (OPF). It is a very important issue for power systems analysis field. The research work will be applied within a major research project referring to the transmission network expansion planning. Tw o case studies are presented, focusing on test power systems.
