Abstract
Mobile applications can potentially become more valuable tools in the education field with flexible content integration into applications on user demand. In this paper while the main focus is ´content integration for mobile devices´, we propose a framework for mobile application development problem: (i) modelling a flexible environment which conforms to Web services and OpenGIS standards, (ii) integration of various services provided by different sources for educational wireless application development, (iii) on the fly device independent user interface development, configuration and deployment for these services while avoiding thick clients, (iv) ability to add new services and functionalities on user demand. We present a scenario in this paper to demonstrate how the framework can be applied to learning and support education
