Abstract
In this paper, the correlation properties of very low rate convolutional codewords is exploited, and based on these correlation properties of the codewords and copy feature of Walsh functions, a new decoding method is proposed. In terms of the computer simulations, the performance of this new method is investigated compared to conventional methods. The simulation results show very little difference between the new method and the original method. The implementation of the new method is simpler than the original method and very appropriate for ASIC implementations
