Abstract
Proposes a fuzzy logic-based cardiac pacing system with multiple sensor information. In this system, all tasks of pacemakers from judging the circulatory conditions to determining the pacing rates are based on fuzzy logic. Especially, rate control which is optimized for each patient by tuning membership functions and control rules is beneficial. Rate simulation results using two physiological parameters are demonstrated. Fuzzy logic is promising as the control algorithm for the pacemakers which will be more and more sophisticated and complicated in the future
