  • Abstract
    In this paper, we describe the cross-correlation principle of the vehicle speed measurement, and present the hardware design of real-time embedded measuring system for the vehicles´ speed. The modular programming method is used in software design to complete the computation of cross-correlation signal processing and the display of resultant data. We evaluate the performance of this system by measuring the linear speed of rotary dial on motor. It is shown by the experiments that this automatic measuring system is stable and highly reliable with low cost.
