Abstract :
To develop a high-solubility three-component absorbent (H2 O/LiBr/Salt) suitable for an absorption refrigerator, the effect of twenty-four inorganic salts on the crystallization temperature depression was studied. The molar fraction of H2O/LiBr/Salt was constant at 0.722/0.208/0.070, and a correlation between the specified density of absorbent and the crystallization temperature was obtained. The salts were differentiated in three groups regarding their effects on the crystallization temperature compared with the H2 O/LiBr system. Furthermore a correlation between the volume expansion of absorbent and vapour pressure of water was discussed
