Abstract
This paper is concerned with a fuzzy logic-control approach for operation of an inverted pendulum-cart system, in order to point out the unique capabilities of the presented method including: the possibility of integration of two opposite actions, robustness, and control of inaccessible state variables. The design of the controller structure is described. Simulation results obtained with fuzzy Toolbox for MATLAB and SIMULINK are included
